About Me
Below are a few points about me. If these don't answer your questions, feel free to contact me. Hell, send me a quick message anyway just to say hi!
Grew up in Ecommerce
My mother started her first Ecommerce website when I was just 8 years old. From a young age I have been involved in website design and development. I have experience launching websites on CMS's including Weebly, Zencart, Drupal + Ubercart, Magento and Neto.
My Ecommerce skill set extends beyond technical skills, with experience in marketing, customer service, product selection and importing, as well as warehouse logistics.
Double Degrees
A genuine computer nerd, I'm a graduate of the University of Newcastle, where I studied: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer) / Bachelor of Computer Science - Computer Systems and Robotics Major. Doesn't exactly roll of the tongue I know, but the coupling of these two specialisations provides a much broader system understanding than any single degree could offer. I have studied everything from analog and digital circuits, embedded systems, FPGAs, through to high level languages and algorithm design, with engineering principles reinforced from both specialties. My mark for my final year thesis and project titled 'Design and Development of a Li-Fi Data Communications System' was 96, putting me at the top of my cohort.
Software Engineer
If the above two points weren't indicative enough, I'm a software engineer in the Cyber Security Industry, developing secure mobility solutions at Penten. We work hard to secure mobile devices and laptops up to high assurance cryptographic standards.
Previously, I worked in software development and documentation at Dexata, where I coded in C++ for Windows and Linux platforms, using the Scrum Methodology. During my time at Dexata, I have also had the opportunity to work on some embedded systems. Programming languages I am familiar with include C++, C, Java, Python, ASM, and Verilog HDL. I was a member of the Horus Air Battlespace Management System team, delivering capabilities for real-time anomaly detection in geospatial datasets.
